Providing native solutions to preserve traditions
Part of the problem we face as present-day indigenous people, is the fact that we are not truly connected to our traditional values and beliefs.
Its believed that we are here due to generations before us providing a foundation of prayers that we walk upon today. We are the cultural and spiritual survivors from those prayers.
Cultural Recovery
The sweat lodge ceremony provides us with an opportunity to create a spiritual, physical, mental and emotional foundation of well being. As a human being living in the world we do, we are continuously subjected to influences that add to an imbalance of our core foundation. Inside the sweat lodge we are given the chance to open ourselves to a place of healing and rebalancing.
Community Outreach
Thundermaker Cultural Recovery is engaged in various community outreach projects. Along with addiction and cultural recovery, we are dedicated to helping undeserved Native American communities.
Our Team
With the approach of “For Natives, By Natives,” Thundermaker Cultural Recovery is comprised of people from different Native American nations and Native American allies. Recovering and practicing cultural traditions comes from the understanding of cultural roots, and with various backgrounds, the Thundermaker Cultural Recovery team is committed to assisting in the healing and unification of communities through cultural practices.
